JAPAN
I was lucky enough to visit Japan during sakura (cherry blossom) season and saw parts of the country covered in pastel blankets of sakura.
Not featured above but I also loved these museums/galleries: Nezu Museum, Scai the Bathouse, and MOMAT.
MY TRAVEL WARDROBE
TAILORED
SHIRT AND JEANS
ZADY Shirt (More here) / RODEBJER Jeans / MANSUR GAVRIEL Backpack (More here and here) / GENTLE MONSTER Sunglasses
Zady makes beautiful luxury pieces while also addressing the environmental and social issues facing the fashion industry, like clothing made from materials that don’t biodegrade and contain toxic chemicals that absorb into our skin, and garment workers who are often not treated fairly or paid a living wage.
They practice transparency, telling the story behind each piece on its site, from farming and weaving through dying and cut and sew. For this shirt I'm wearing (See my previous look here), they found the best long-staple organic cotton in Turkey and used traditional Banshu-Ori weaving in Japan to create a lightweight, textured fabric. This takes luxury fashion back to its roots – no logos, just beautiful fabrics, expert craftsmanship, and careful attention to process.
ADDITIONAL FAVORITES
IN MY BAG
BELIF Cushion Compact / SAINT LAURENT Wallet / FUJIFILM X-T10 Camera
While traveling in Korea, I stopped by the Belif store because I'm a huge fan of the True Cream Aqua Bomb. I purchased another Aqua Bomb and their new Cushion Compact, I love the hydrating formula and the effortless application. I'm currently using the Bare Minerals Hydrating Gel Cream which is still one of my favorites, but it's nice to have something with a little more coverage and SPF 50+.
OFF THE SHOULDER
CARMEL
A couple weeks ago I was able to experience a weekend at Carmel Valley Ranch. One of Carmel's most beautiful properties.
